ADBA appoints two new members to aid in revitalization of organization and marketing efforts

Abbotsford, March 15th, 2017 – The Abbotsford Downtown Business Association (ADBA) has announced today that Jennifer McEwan and Reuben Mann have joined the Abbotsford Business Improvement Area (BIA) not-for-profit in executive assistant and marketing coordinator capacities, respectively.

Jennifer has served the Abbotsford community extensively and brings with her a wealth of experience accrued through a 14-year nursing career, developing her own business, and serving nine years as the chair of the Air Cadets Sponsoring Committee. Her collaborative demeanor will aid in strengthening the bonds within the Abbotsford Business Improvement Area and optimize the internal processes of the organization.

Before Reuben’s role focusing on brand development and increasing community engagement for the ADBA, he led the social media marketing campaign for a testicular cancer awareness group which resulted in global news and media coverage and founded a digital marketing and brand consultancy to help local businesses transition into the mobile-first era of marketing.

These additions to the ADBA will allow for the successful development of integrated marketing campaigns, a modernized online platform to better serve consumers and business owners, and provide greater transparency towards the ongoings of the organization.

The ADBA views these appointments as a sign of their commitment to becoming the leading BIA within five years in British Columbia and is excited for the continued development of both downtown Abbotsford and the businesses within.

The vision for Downtown Abbotsford is to be recognized as a healthy and growing business community. The ADBA’s mission is to encourage the sustained growth of the Downtown area while nurturing the residential and commercial community through advocacy, fostering relationships, and proactive leadership.

Furthermore, the ADBA would like to thank Tina Stewart for six years of service as executive director of the organization. Her dedication was greatly valued and appreciated by the Board of Directors.

As the ADBA moves forward, there will be a strong emphasis on refocusing on the core mandates of our society.
