Joan’s extensive papermaking knowledge and practice makes her an invaluable teacher and guide for your papermaking journey. In this course, she will be instructing in the best fibers to use, how to source them, the process of creating a fiber/water ‘slurry’, using a screen to extract the fiber and process it into sheets of handmade paper.
You will have the opportunity to mold and carve the paper, and get direction on how to decorate this paper at a later date.
