SNAG in the Valley

Snag in the Valley is a local community-based live art event, showcasing the most illustrious and technically-sound talents of the Fraser Valley.

Snag Vancouver was founded in 2012 to make underground art accessible. The weekly event celebrated and escorted hundreds of artists into the public sphere, creating collections and connections for over 10 years.

In 2023, artist Ember Muninn brought the event to Abbotsford in order to celebrate the emerging and established artistic talent from across the Valley, and prove that we’re a creative force to be reckoned with.

This year we’re bringing the spectacle back full force, with events at Open Space Downtown every third Thursday of the month. Each event will feature multiple artists creating fresh pieces of art and a subsequent raffle of their work.

Each event will run for 4 hours in which time three artists will create a painting in the space. These paintings will be raffled off at the end of the night to an attending ticket holder. This is a great opportunity for exposure and to meet new artists in the community.
