'Aptera' Exhibition Opening Night

In his new sculpture series, Ty Martens explores themes orbiting freedom and restriction. Examining flight in it’s boundlessness as the pinnacle of personal autonomy, these visceral assemblages exist at the point of having lost such potential. 

Aptera also raises questions about the inevitability of time, visualizes unknown futures, and ponders severed connections.
